The Clearwater SWCD Conservation Farm and Learning Center is a rustic 400 acre site in Dudley township east of Leonard.
Students and other groups are welcome at the Conservation Farm. Visitors can see demonstration projects such as prairie and wetland restorations as well as reforestation plantings.
Additionally, this site can be used to support educational lesson plans and recreational interests such as plant identification, forestry, orienteering, or other applied outdoor skills.
Deer hunting is allowed at the Conservation Farm by permit only. Rifle and bow deer hunters are welcome to stop in our Bagley office to pick up a free permit. There is no limit on the number of permits issued, but a permit is required.
Volunteers are welcome to assist with Conservation Farm priorities. We can put you or your group to work rooting out invasive species, maintaining trails, bud-capping young trees, or other needed tasks. Get in touch with us to discuss volunteer and service possibilities.
Please note there are no sanitary facilities at the Conservation Farm.
Call the SWCD about other options for the use of this site. We look forward to your visit!
